Q: How do I buy and activate Compaq my bhasha .

A: Purchasing Compaq my bhasha  can be done in two ways:

Q: Can Compaq my bhasha work with Microsoft Word?

A: Compaq my bhasha can work hand in hand with Microsoft word editor. It’s simply done by opening MS word and launching Compaq my bhasha.


Q: How do I change the keyboard colors?

A: Changing the keyboard colors can be done by entering to "Display" menu and then selecting ´Keyboard Display´.


Q: How can I match the virtual keyboard to my physical keyboard?

A: To change the selection of your virtual keyboard Click on ´Display´ Menu and choose ´Choose Keyboard type´.


Q: When I press a key it’s not highlighted.

A: Click on ´Display´ Menu and select ´Keyboard Display´. A key will not be highlighted if the same color is defined at the ´Keyboard Color Settings´ and at the ´Highlight Color Settings´.


Q: I can’t write in Compaq my bhasha Word Editor.

A: Please check that you’re internet connection is available. The Word Editor is available only Online.


Q: I cannot find the initial letters ‘a’ and ‘e’.

A: Some of the words will present after holding the ‘Shift’ key. Please hold the “shift” key and notice that the letters appear.  


Q: How to get ‘|’ or ‘?’ letters?

A: Currently, the only way to get ‘|’ or ‘?’ is to switch to English.  At the relevant place choose the character you want and then get back to your language and continue writing in you language.



Q: I change Compaq my bhasha "Preferences" menu settings but after reopening the application the changes are not remembered.

A: If you want Compaq my bhasha to remember the changes for the next time as well, you need to run Compaq my bhasha with administrator privileges. This is done by right clicking on Compaq my bhasha desktop icon and selecting the "Run as administrator" option.



Q: Some tools in Compaq my bhasha online word editor are not functioning as they should in Windows Vista.

A: The "ForeColor", "BackColor", "InsertTable", "InsertImage", "CreateLink" might not work correctly in Windows Vista.
ln order for these features to work properly, you need to run Compaq my bhasha
with administrator privileges. This is done by right clicking on Compaq my bhasha desktop icon and selecting the "Run as administrator" option.

On Windows 2000:

In Windows 2000 Service pack 4 is needed. It can be downloaded from
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

    Step 1:
    Go to: Start->Setting->Control Panel->Regional Options.

    Step 2:
    Choose the Input Locales tab.

    Step 3:
    Choose the Add... option and select the language you wish to work with from the list.

    Step 4:
    Approve your selection by pressing.


Q: I am using Windows 2000. Why can’t I choose Telugu or Bengali?

A: Windows 2000 supports Hindi, Marathi and Tamil.


Q: I am using Windows XP. Why can’t I choose Bengali or Urdu?

A: Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam and Urdu languages are not supported by windows XP SP1. In order to install them you’ll need SP2.

If Service Pack 1 is installed, Service Pack 2 patch can be downloaded from here: Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).


Q: How can I find out which Service Pack I have?

A: If you don’t know which service pack is installed on your system, do as follow:
      Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System.
Or: Start > Control Panel > System.


Q: I keep getting a message saying that I don’t have DirectX 9 installed on my computer.

A: If DX9 is missing it can be downloaded from DirectX 9.


Q: Why can’t I run Compaq my bhasha ?

A: If you successfully installed Compaq my bhasha but you can’t run it please tell us why can’t you run it: Are you getting any error messages? If so kindly detail them or if possible send us a print screen of them.
